Required Skills Smartphone app design and development Background Prior experience designing and developing smartphone apps Scope of Service Vendor must develop and design Smartphone application Smartphone Application for Substance Abuse Assistance Information and Resources in Nassau County The Commissioner of Human Services .in coordination with the partner clients will provided information and resources garnered from nonprofits, for-profit, and advocacy groups regarding substance abuse assistance information and resources which must be accessible through the Substance Abuse App. Content must include but not be limited to: A comprehensive directory of substance abuse prevention, treatment, and recovery services Links to the client's government resources A zip code searchable guide that will display the location of the nearest treatment centers and hospitals, including GIS API with directions, maps and routing A NARCAN training calendar Support hotline telephone numbers Links to state and federal websites The app must be designed for the Android Operating System and the Apple operating system known as iOS.and available through app stores. The app must have the ability to be updated for content every six months, or more frequently as the Commissioner of Human Services deems necessary; (who will update? Vendor or NC?) The vendor must provide developer updates as well as patches known as "bug fixes". The application should be developed in a way that the CONTENT is dynamic and easily maintainable/updateable by client's staff. Any database/dynamic assets associated with the content/display of the application should reside on the county's infrastructure. The source code (uncompiled) and all components and assets are to be handed over at the end of the development process for the County to publish the application
