Desired Requirements

  • Minimum 84 months experience with JAVA Programming (version 1.4 or higher).
  • Minimum 84 months experience using WebServices, LDAP, ActiveDirectory, OID, SSO, Servlets and Applets (API’s).
  • Minimum 84 months experience with J2EE development.
  • Minimum 72 months experience with Oracle RDBMS (version 9i or higher).
  • Minimum 72 months experience programming business logic in stored procedures and/or middle tier.
  • Minimum 72 months experience with web page templating frameworks in J2EE.
  • Minimum 36 months supporting application projects for the transportation industry.
  • Minimum 24 months experience using JDeveloper.
  • Minimum 24 months experience using Struts and Top Link.  
  • Minimum 24 months experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) practices and concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Lead Java developer on all assigned projects. Designing, coding, testing, debugging, and tuning Java programs for a high profile OLTP production application. 
  • Ensure that the system architecture integrates hardware, software, data, and procedural system components to satisfy system requirements. 
  • Work with key program area stakeholders to understand the business requirements for new/redesigned systems. 
  • Articulate and communicate key design patterns within the program areas and IT. 
  • Collaborate with the IT and program area leads to translate program area requirements into technology requirements and recommend viable technical options. 
  • Define the migration and implementation strategy. 
  • Act as a Mentor in developing the skills and experitise of other IT developers on the team by performing code reviews and suggesting changes that will best fit the Program and Agency needs.
