Estimated Length: 24 months 20 hrs/week position Minimum Qualifications Five years of experience as follows: Working with IDMS Database structures Developing and maintaining batch and online applications in an IBM z/OS environment using IBM COBOL, JCL, CA-IDMS, and CA-ADS Adding and modifying source code, JCL, and data structures as needed The following degrees may substitute for the general experience as indicated: Associate’s degree and four years of experience Associate’s degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and three years of experience Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience Bachelor’s degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and two years of experience Master’s degree in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional year of experience Doctorate in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional 2 years of experience Responsibilities Use IBM COBOL, JCL, CA-IDMS, CA-ADS to develop/maintain batch/online applications in an IBM z/OS environment. Perform analysis, design, coding, and testing of changes based on State/Federal mandates or requests from the client's State Operations Finance Group. Provide full technical support for various mainframe CA-IDMS applications including the Uniform Billing System (UBS), Comprehensive Billing System (COBS), Human Resource Management System (HRMS), & Patient Cash System (PCS). Add/modify source code, JCL, and data structures as needed. Investigate and resolve application aborts/system failures as needed. Check daily maintenance for IDMS. Resolve and notify responsible persons of problems from IDMS nightly maintenance jobs, IDMS aborts, Initial Program Loads, and Applications Development (APPDEV) program runs. Provide support/maintenance for HIPAA audit logging and application response tracking. Work with members of the Billing unit, DBA unit, and the office for Information Technology Services to migrate batch and online application changes to the QA and Production platforms following standard migration procedures. Process security requests for access to complete IDMS users security update. Mentor staff.
