Estimated Length: 24 months Full-Time 8:00am – 4:30pm Mandatory Requirements Expert At least 84 Months Desired Requirements Minimum 84 months developing browser based GIS applications. Minimum 60 months experience developing browser based applications using one of the Esri Web API’s (Javascript, Silverlight, or HTML5). Minimum 48 months developing custom workflows, tools, scripts or standalone applications within Esri’s ArcGIS desktop. Minimum 48 months experience managing spatial data and developing workflows and applications using Esri enterprise spatial databases. Minimum 24 months supporting application projects for the transportation industry. Minimum 24 months experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) practices and concepts. Minimum 12 months experience with Linear Referencing practices and concepts as they relate to transportation applications. Responsibilities Develop GIS applications using ArcGIS Server 10.x and the ArcGIS API for HTML5 or Javascript. Migrate existing GIS applications from earlier ArcGIS Server versions and legacy development platforms to current environments (ArcGIS Server 10.x and ArcGIS API for Javascript or HTML5) Develop GIS services that are capable of being exposed through NYS’s Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment. Organize and manage various types of spatial data in a multiuser ArcGIS Server/Oracle/SQL 2016 enterprise databases. Assist IT and GIS staff with the migration of the GIS environment from the ArcGIS 10.3 platform to ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6+ Develop, test and implement geoprocessing workflows and custom tools for ArcGIS Desktop 10.x. Collaborate with the IT and program area leads to translate program area requirements into technology requirements and recommend viable technical options. Act as a Mentor in developing the skills and expertise of other IT and GIS developers on the team by performing code reviews and suggesting changes that will best fit program and agency needs.
