Desired Requirements

• 84+ months experience performing Microsoft SQL Server database administration.
• 60+ months experience designing, installing, and maintaining of SQL Server 2012 or higher high-availability / disaster-recovery (HA/DR) environments which includes Failover Cluster Instances and Always-on Availability Groups
• 60+ months experience performing Sql Server backup/recovery using CommVault software.
• 60+ months experience performing SQL Server DBA support for Integrated Justice Information Systems such as the NYS-DCJS IJAB platform.  
• 60+ months experience supporting Buffalo Computer Graphics DLAN software for disaster/emergency tracking.   
• 36+ months experience supporting ACISS Systems software products for Law Enforcement Applications.
• 84+ months documented experience designing, installing, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server SSIS/SSAS/SSRS Services including SSRS scaled-out deployment.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Information Technology

Responsibilities

• Provide a technical lead role in installing and configuring MS SQL Server.
• Implement and support SQL Server in failover Clustered environment.
• Provide a technical lead role in ongoing data migration and consolidation.
• Provide support in designing processes and setting up standards for data migrated/consolidated.
• Provide DBA operational support for Sql Server databases for all Public Safety Cluster (PSC) Agency applications. 
• Provide DBA operational support for Sql Server databases for all Admin and General Services Cluster Agency applications.
• Provide DBA expertise with vendor-provided software supporting Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, and Homeland Security  Enterprise applications
• Perform capacity planning and storage management.
• Monitor performance of database servers, listeners and other related processes, optimize performance of databases, tune applications, server resources – CPU, memory, storage, network, etc.
• Be available to work off hours and participate on a scheduled after hours on-call rotation.
• Ensure appropriate security protocols are in place and patches are regularly applied on all database environments.
• Perform regular backups and ensure recovery solutions are in place and regularly kept updated utilizing both Sql Server and CommVault software.
• Provide production support including off hour support and help with application debugging
• Create and maintain documentation for all major installations, implementations and troubleshooting.
• Able to work with other DBA staff, vendors and other cluster agency staffs to provide on-the-job training and assistance in performing database administrative activities.
