Estimated Length: 24 months Full-Time Between 7:30AM and 5:30PM Mandatory Requirements Expert 84+ Months Desired Requirements 84+ months experience as SQL Server DBA in a clustered Windows environment. 60+ months Experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics CRM software. 60+ months experience with SQL Server database backup/recovery using Commvault. 60+ months experience tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting and baselining SQL Server database performance using Extended Events, PAL (Performance Analysis of Logs), PSSDIAG and Splunk. 60+ months of experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server TDE encrypted databases. 60+ months experience supporting Kerberos authentication for SQL Server (configuring/registering server principal names (SPNs) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. MCSA (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) or above in SQL Server 2012/2014/2016. Please include copies of qualifying degrees. Responsibilities Assist the Database team with various ongoing tasks, including but not limited to database installation, configuration and hardening, backup validation, performance tuning, replication setup, and general database monitoring, as well as recommend best practices and procedures; Install, upgrade and maintain SQL Server databases on Windows Servers, including backup and recovery; Allocating storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system; Work with teams of application programmers, system architects to create solutions to meet business goals; Perform off-hours (evening or weekend work) as needed for emergency or maintenance tasks; Provide support for internal users and external data exchange partners; Perform optimization and tuning activities, including capacity planning, tracking historical usage, trending future resource needs, and modifying resource allocations as needed; Provides recommendations on technical architecture; Provides hands-on training and mentoring for other database administrative staff.
