Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite:  Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Filing large amounts of paperwork/case folders daily.
  • Mail processing.  Open and in-date incoming mail, review and prepare outgoing mail.
  • Answer telephones in a timely and professional manner and direct calls to the appropriate staff.
  • Professional contact by email or telephone with OPWDD staff, external governmental agencies and private/not for profit agencies.
  • Compile financial and other data such as wages for the preparation of documents and other financial reports, reporting data to the Social Security Administration and local Departments of Social Services.
  • Compute statistical calculations such as averages and percent's.
  • Request documentation to support eligibility for all federal and state benefit programs.
  • Prepare applications/recertification forms for Medicaid and SNAP benefits.
  •  Prepare, run and distribute reports using agency specific software and basic keyboarding.
  • Operate office equipment such as photocopiers, calculators, computers, printers, fax machines and scanners as necessary to complete tasks.
  • Prepare correspondence, forms or other documents in draft and final form using information obtained in the agency's databases and files.
  • Complete accurate and timely data entry into the agency's database (TABS) and the Medicaid systems using various sources.
  • Review reports and take corrective actions.
  • Maintain confidentially of information obtained through this office/agency and follow the HIPAA guidelines.
  • Basic clerical duties and provide support to all staff within this office.
  • Ability to life up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to bend and squat.
  • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task.
  • Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to work successfully with all staff members and office contacts.
  • Complete additional duties, tasks and projects that support the operations of this office..
