Estimated Length: 5-6 Months P/T Work is supporting and continuing development of new large complex public site, which is based on Drupal 8. We’re looking for someone who can help us make our deployments better, review the existing taxonomies and suggest improvements, and help us build out CMS components to make content editors lives easier. We need someone with an understanding of Drupal 8 best practices and an understanding of CSS. Experience Significant experience (4+ years) with Drupal with 1+ year recent exp with Drupal 8 Additional background in Wordpress, or other php-based systems a plus. Some experience with web design -- we have a UX designer, but if you can make decent looking components from a basic wireframe, that would be good. Experience working within an existing design system is a plus. Experience working in a Gitlab/Github based dev-ops environments. Experience setting up a CMS. Ability to clearly communicate and track work via a system like JIRA, Trello, or Basecamp. Enthusiasm about creating, reusing, and repurposing open-source tools. Responsibilities Working with our Product Manager and UX designer, build new Drupal 8 page templates and content modules. Update stakeholders via code check-ins and posting via JIRA. Make suggestions about how to make our site taxonomy clearer. Occasionally handle production deployments.
