Estimated Length: 22 months Monday - Friday, 8:00-4:00 PM, 7.5 hrs with a 30 minute lunch break.

Requirements

The successful candidate will assist with a variety of activities including:

• reviewing centralized contracts and preferred sources to provide quotes;
• auditing purchasing and invoice documentation;
• submit electronic records in statewide databases;
• professionally answering and routing calls;
• organizing and maintaining electronic and paper files; and
• creating meeting notices with internal and external attendees.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

• experience working with spreadsheets, tables, or similar documentation;
• demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel;
• navigation of multi-line phone systems; and
• work experience in a professional office environment or demonstrated professional interpersonal skills.

The preferred qualifications include:

• familiarity with NYS-specific databases and systems (e.g., FileNet, SFS, ITSM);
• proficient in scheduling meeting for multiple and executive level staff;
• knowledge of NYS procurement guidelines; and
• experience working with financial data or documentation.
