Estimated Length: open 37.5 max billable hours/week (40 hour work week unpaid 30 mins lunch break each day) NYC area LOCAL candidates REQUIRED - CLIENT will do a video interview Position will start working remotely, until New York City opens up following COVID-19 pandemic (will work onsite thereafter in Manhattan) Client needs mobile apps developer to integrate and present NYC transportation data. This consumer facing app will interface with various other systems (in real time) (e.g. NYC Subway, NYC Buses, Uber, Lyft, LIRR, MNR etc) gathering data from these transportation systems and presenting a consolidated view to all consumers relying on any transportation in NYC (e.g. when NYC subway is closed between 1am-5am for cleaning - app will show alternate transportation options to the user) Mandatory Requirements 4+ year mobile apps development 2+ years current experience with multi device mobile app development using Rails Experience with large consumer apps running on both iOS and Android platforms Desired Requirements Transportation industry experience Application APISs/integration/interfaces/data feeds HTML CSS RoR etc
