Estimated Length: 24 months M - F / 9 - 5 Desired Experience • Basic bookkeeping, accounting, and financial recordkeeping. • Computing, classifying, and recording numerical data. • Performing routine calculations, posting, and verification of financial data to maintain accounting records. • Verifying the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings of business transactions. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience working for a Federally-funded nutrition program, such as WIC. • Experience working in a fast-paced office setting, conducting a wide range of tasks to support program operations. • Experience working in a government setting. • Familiarity with New York State systems and specific terminology. The Department seeks to fill this position due to the recent loss of essential program staff. 3. What will the interview process be like? The successful candidate is expected to work on-site with potential to telecommute after successful completion of training. Work arrangements will comply with Department policies. 5. If the latter, will DON provide equipment? The Department may provide equipment to support telecommuting dependent upon need and availability. 6. What sort of parking options are available? Free parking is available on-site.
