Estimated Length: 24 months M-F 8:45-5 Mandatory Requirements Position Description: The Criminal History and Records Bureau is responsible for assisting various facility types in New York State complete mandated Criminal History Record Checks. It is also responsible for the maintenance of the New York State Home Care Registry which retains information about the training and employability status of Home Care workers throughout the state. The candidate will be primarily assigned to the Criminal History Record Check program. Minimum Qualifications: Well organized, detail oriented, excellent verbal and written communication, and able to work alone or as part of a team. Proficiency working with Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, Outlook and Sharepoint applications. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a fast-paced setting with the ability to multi-task and work in complex databases. Experience in effectively communicating with consumers and providers. Responsibilities: Candidate will perform clerical functions including answering incoming phone calls from multiple internal and external customers; process incoming faxes, e-mails, and external mail. Must perform data entry and may provide analysis of data. May perform special assignments, and routine administrative functions as specifically directed and all aspects of administrative support. Perform related duties as required.
