Estimated Length: 12 months 8 hours, 9 - 5 Requirements Duties: • Provide support for the work of the Maternal Mortality Review Initiative which includes the Maternal Mortality Review Board (MMRB). • Enter vital death/birth file information and/or other related data as required by the Maternal Mortality Review Information Application (MMRIA); • Assist in reviewing and verifying entered information; track the receipt of case information and follow up on missing information; and file, photocopy and download case information for case review and MMRB meetings; • Assist with collecting information for maternal mortality case ascertainment from multiple data sources, including the NYS Bureau of Vital Records (BVR), Statewide Planning and Research Cooperative System (SPARCS) and other sources; • Perform general office and administrative related assignments. Skills required: • Strong office organizational skills related to collecting, tracking, and follow up of data • Data entry experience, preferably in Access forms • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel • Experience with office machines to scan, fax, copy and compile documents • Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience including administration and coordination of projects in public health field; OR an • Associate's degree and four years of relevant experience; OR six years of relevant experience. • A Master's degree may substitute for one year of experience.
