Estimated Length: 24 months M-F 8:45-5 Requirements Position Description: The Criminal History and Records Bureau is responsible for assisting various provider entities in New York State complete mandated Criminal History Record Checks. The Supervising Program Assistant reports to the Program Coordinator and at the direction of the Program Coordinator provides oversight for the unit. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree is required. Well organized, detail oriented, excellent verbal and written communication, and able to work alone or as part of a team. Must have prior experience supervising. Proficiency working with Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, Outlook and Sharepoint applications. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree is preferred. Experience working in a fast-paced setting with the ability to multi-task and work in complex databases. Experience in effectively communicating with consumers, provider entities and Client leaderships. Responsibilities: Primary duties include the managing of special projects, including assuring that the policy and procedure manual is updated as policies and procedures change and daily data entry operations. The position requires a criminal background check and works in databases containing confidential records. Candidate will occasionally perform supervisory responsibilities for the Bureau Coordinator. Perform related duties as required.
