Requirements

The Client IT Security department is seeking a seasoned Desktop/LAN/Network Administrator with expert hands on experience to assist the Client Police and Security department with major projects.

This position will ensure desktop, server, network and security configurations introduced into the Client environment meet defined requirements, security standards, comply with existing policies and follow industry best practices. They will assist in numerous challenging projects, identifying and mitigating risks and manage related tasks to achieve the required result.

Onsite work and travel throughout the Client region is required.
The candidate must currently live in the New York Metropolitan Area and pass an extensive Client Police Department background investigation.

The interview will involve technical questions which the candidate must successfully complete.


Requirements:

Minimum 5-7 Years of hands on technical experience administering Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Windows 10 and Active Directory.
Expert installing and maintaining Windows 10, Office 365 and desktop imaging services.
Hands-on technical experience with Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, McAfee Security Suite and Crowdstrike
Experience supporting and troubleshooting Networking and Security technology such as Routers/Switches/VPN/Firewalls/Proxies/AV/Encryption?
System Administration of Netmotion Mobility or equivalent VPN technology.
System administration of Enterprise Software Applications & Security Controls.
Must have experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite including Teams and Visio.
Strong Cyber security awareness and focus; knowledge of IT Cybersecurity controls.
A solid foundation in information technology, including the principles and practices of systems design, administration, maintenance and functions of an Enterprise IT Department.
Ability to make decisions and provide solutions by inquiring, listening and evaluating information. Must easily adjust to changing priorities, circumstances and direction.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle critical situations.
Experience with Police and Public Safety is a major plus.

Education and Experience:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in IT related field
Minimum 7-9 years of IT experience working in a large IT organization
