Requirements

The cliet IT Security Department is seeking a seasoned Security Professional with experience evaluating and remediating Cybersecurity risks in large agencies or corporations.

The consultant shall identify, mitigate and remediate risks for applications, networks and systems within IT and OT environments. The consultant will coordinate with vendors, IT and business units to identify gaps by evaluating business operations, policies, documentation, drawings and by performing system assessments. The consultant will provide technical information and guidance to multiple stockholders. They will assist in conducting systems architectural and security analyses, identify risks and provide recommendations and guidance for remediation in presentation formats to Senior Management.
This position will ensure network and security configurations introduced into the client environment meet defined requirements, security standards, comply with existing policies and follow industry best practices.

Remote work accommodations are available. However, it is preferred that the candidate reside in the New York?Metropolitan Area as onsite work will often be required.

Requirements:
•Extensive experience performing IT Security Assessments and reporting
•Demonstrated ability to provide effective solutions to remediate or mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.
•Strong analytical skills to analyze requirements and relate to the appropriate design and security controls.
•Applicable knowledge of the various IT Security frameworks and standards such as ISO, NIST, CIS, and MITRE
•Working knowledge of Security Technologies including network security appliances, firewalls, identity and access management, anti-malware, automated policy compliance and desktop security tools.
•Working Knowledge of security around server & network infrastructure hardware such as Server Blade, VMWare, SAN, routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and the associated protocols and concepts.
•Solid foundation in information technology, including the principles and practices of systems analysis, design, administration and the functions of an Enterprise IT Department.
•Extensive knowledge using Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, PowerPoint & Visio
•Excellent written, verbal & communication skills is a must.

Education and Experience:?
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in IT related field
• Minimum 7-9 years of IT Security experience
• IT Security Certifications including CISSP, CEH, CISA are a plus.
• Experience or familiarity with CJIS requirements and compliance is a plus
