Requirements

1. Assists with Claim and Pre-claim processes: 

A. Data entry of claims, DAARs, financial adjustments and account updates. 
B. Reviews pending claims on the daily worklist. Identifies the cause of errors and corrects if possible. 
C. Updates claims when additional information is received. Reprocesses claims to acceptance. Final reviews claims and rejects back to lender/servicer if additional information is not received or insufficient to resolve error. 
D. Review and update of collateral documents which are needed to get claims accepted on the system. 
E. Monitors pending claims through the use of the 30 Day Report to ensure timely resolution. 
F. Assist with review of other claim reports to identify issues with purchased claims. 
G. Assist with claim adjustment processing. Research information on reports and screens needed to process positive and negative adjustments. Print reports and screens when necessary. 

2. Assists with Teacher Loan Forgiveness (TLF) process: (NSLDS access is required)
A. Reviews pending TLF applications. Identifies if the borrower meets criteria to be eligible for discharge.
B. Understands and updates applications with located data.
C. Keep up a good rapport & corresponds with lenders, servicers & co-workers for required information.
D. Monitors pending applications to make sure they are approved/denied timely.
E. Updates spreadsheets with required data.

3. Other duties: 
A. Research accounts on DMCS to determine account status. 
B. Research accounts on NSLDS to determine account status.
C. Other duties as assigned. 

4. Required skills: 

A. Be able to gather, review and interpret information from multiple sources (unit procedures, reports, mainframe and client server systems to determine account status and determine corrective actions if needed. 
B. Proficient in using Microsoft Excel. 
C. Proficient in organizing file shares.
