Estimated Length: 24 months Mon - Fri, 9am -5pm Mandatory Requirements The New York State Client for the Protection of People with Special Needs is seeking proactive candidates with a background in administrative work with the ability to handle time-sensitive projects and urgent requests. Currently, the Client is seeking candidates to fill one (1) position at this location, but a potential to fill more positions at this location is possible. It is preferred that the candidates have a strong background in creating reports and compiling information, etc. Candidates must be task oriented and have a high attention to detail, as well as the ability to multitask and efficiently work well under demanding time constraints and high demand projects. Candidates must be able to work independently AND as part of a team to communicate effectively with others. Working knowledge of computer programs/systems must include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Preferred candidates will have experience reviewing correspondence and handling confidential and sensitive matters in person, over the phone, and in writing. Candidates will be expected to keep the information confidential. Familiarity with creating or working with complex searchable databases is preferred as well. Previous customer service experience is preferred. Job duties and functions include the ability to manage a referral inbox daily with the skill to efficiently process referrals, calls, and inquiries received by the Client from individuals, family members, and victims. Candidates must be able to track such information within comprehensive databases and worksheets. Duties also include the ability to review information within the database and assess the needs of the individual based on available information (prior to assigning the referral to an advocate). The position requires the ability to analyze data and create reports based on such information. Additionally, the position supports a team that is primarily grant-funded and would be responsible for tracking requirements and assistance with grant reporting. Other projects and duties may also be assigned. This position will be 37.5 hours a week.
