Requirements

This position will communicate and work with the end users and/or Systems/Business Analysts, in order to develop application programming specifications for applications on a microcomputer platform. This position will program the application according to identified specifications.
Suitable candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline and three (3) years or more experience as a PC Programmer/Analyst. Experience should include a strong background in PC and/or Macintosh hardware; Macintosh, UNIX/AIX, DOS, Windows 200/XP/7/8, Windows CE, Linux, TCP/IP, CE Fusion and Windows/Linux Novell operating environments; and applications software including word processors and spreadsheets. Strong structured programming skills are required in a variety of languages including FoxPro for both PC/Macintosh environments, Visual Basic, Embedded Visual Basic, "C", "C++", Microfocus COBOL, PL/SQL, Java, Oracle ADF, Oracle database, Oracle development tools, i.e., Developer, Designer and reporting tools such as WebFocus, and Iway Service Manager. There are also periodic requirements for candidates with PeopleSoft HRIS/Payroll, Hyperion Planning, GIS and mapping technology knowledge and experience, SNMP programing, and real-time Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) applications involving serial and LAN communications between devices. Be advised that temporary technical personnel under this title are not required to have all the skills listed in this section. These skills merely represent the type of skills required under this title and individual qualifications will be reviewed on a project by project basis in order to select the best PC/Programmer/Analyst with the appropriate language skills for the project at hand.
