Requirements

Client New York City Transit, Paratransit Division (Paratransit) provides paratransit transportation service to approximately 160,000+ disabled customers in NYC.  Paratransit uses a complex array of technological systems which include computerized Scheduling & Dispatching software for nearly 30,000 trips per day.  Integrated with the Scheduling and Dispatching software are an Automatic Vehicle Location Monitoring (AVLM) system (comprised of software and hardware) currently for up to 1,300+ vehicles and a computerized Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system that includes “call-out” notifications to customers when their vehicle is approaching.  The IVR interacts with the Avaya telephone system located at the Long Island City headquarters. Paratransit utilizes multi-modal services including dedicated and non-dedicated service providers. In addition, customers can use the internet & smart phones to access their accounts and to request trips using Manage My Trips (MMT) System 

These individual systems are provided and maintained by dif1ferent manufacturers and vendors and are tightly integrated, thus changes to one system will affect all others. Paratransit’s Project Management requires the assistance of a highly skilled Project Manager to provide expertise and guidance to assist in the implementation of technological operation and functionality of these highly complex systems. 

Paratransit is seeking a Project Manager with a high degree of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) experience to provide the following services to Paratransit pertaining to a large scale ITS implementation:

• Conduct overall project management tasks.
• Assist with coordination and integration to peripheral systems. Specifically:

• Implementation and acceptance of new scheduling and dispatch system.
• Completion of AVLM system acceptance.
• Implementation of Reporting system.

• Stakeholder communication and collaboration.
• Scope verification and contract compliance. 
• Develop internal project plan and schedule.
• Monitor project progress to ensure project milestones and goals are met.
