Requirements

LIRR is purchasing (LIRR SP/ESA Project No VH052, and Contract 281739) three quarter cab simulators to complement its training center as shown below:

• One for the M7/M9 train configurations,

• One in Dual Mode Locomotive (DM) configuration

• One in C3 Cab Car configuration

All simulators will be able to model all modes of operation currently in operation and future use in LIRR training.

The Client QAQC (Quality Assurance Quality Control) group will work along with the LIRR QA group who will be separately responsible mostly for Hardware QAQC.

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

- Test application software against the functionality of published technical specifications and user requirements.

- Analyze and document any software failures; interpret and clarify related functional issues not met by the software.

- Collect and analyze data for evaluation and improvements, and integrate them to meet business requirements.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS NEEDED:

- Experience in creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, test scripts and testing environments for complex software to assure consistency between the specifications and software.

- Excellent communication and technical writing skills in large corporate environments is also a requirement.
