Required Skills
1. 10+ years supporting as a Senior Developer PeopleSoft Human Capital Module (HCM) 9.1, 9.2
versions in large government or private sector IT organizations in USA.
2. Good knowledge of Peoplesoft 9.1 & 9.2 Payroll processing and customizations, Flsa
reporting/implementation, W2, State, Federal, , Complex Time and Labor rules development knowledge,
external interface development, excellent communication skills.
3. Develop custom programs & reports for Payroll & Time and Labor which will enhance processes
and departmental efficiency using the PeopleSoft ERP System.
4. Ability to develop technical solutions/rules/customizations by following functional specifications.
5. Ability to present the technical solution to the project manager and the team members.
6. Good knowledge of Oracle databases latest versions and SQL.
7. Ability to develop bulk validation SQL scripts for the implemented technical solutions.
8. Develop Payroll & Time and Labor related queries, good knowledge of Peopletools, Application
Engine, Application Designer, SQL, SQR, XML Publisher, Crystal Reports.
8. Excellent documentation skills.
9. Excellent customer service skills.
10. Provide Helpdesk support of the organization¿s HR applications for Time and Labor and Payroll
modules.
11. Strong team contributor, take charge individual, self-motivated, and business oriented.
12. Ability to train and turn-over knowledge to internal staff members.
13. Self motivated independent worker, able to lead initiatives from beginning to end.
14. Integration knowledge between Time & Labor & Payroll modules.
15. Payroll results interface knowledge with Financial companies and external vendors and other
systems.
16. Bachelor's degree in IS, Business, or related field.
Scope of Service
Performs analysis, solution analysis, design, development, coding, testing, implementation,
maintenance and documentation of the Client’s PeopleSoft Human Resource Management
System (HRMS). Updates, modifies and customizes new functionality & designs for software
system
enhancements. Payroll and Time & Labor technical development and issue
resolution expertise are required.
Develop programming solutions for transaction processing, software system interfaces, input
and output requirements, database queries, formatted reports and all other assigned
development tasks. Work directly with the HRMS
Functional Analysts to clarify/understand functional specifications for project
development/system change requests. Documents technical specifications and builds custom
solutions as required in response to agreed upon business requirements and functional
specifications, meeting customer expectations and deadlines. Evaluates, applies/remove and
retrofits customizations for application and system maintenance patches as required. Exercise
proven software development methods and practices to ensure quality delivery of products and
services. Understands and follows established change control methods.
Provide technical and application expertise in the assessment and resolution of operational
system incidents and technical issues. Interacts with functional analysts & project manager to
troubleshoot issues
and seek resolution. Collaborates with team members, DBAs, System Administrators,
Integrators, Network staff and product vendors as appropriate to coordinate, plan, solve
problems, etc. Available as needed for batch processing support and system issues that occur
during normal duty hours and off duty hours as required.
Maintain expertise in PeopleSoft People Tools and related technologies to include: Application
Designer, People Code, Workflow, Application Engine, Component Interface, File Layouts, SQR,
Query, Application Messaging, Application Packaging, Change Assistant, XML Publisher,
Integration Broker and SQL. Maintain high skill level and expertise with all assigned software
tools. Learn new applications, tools and technologies as required. Maintain strong functional
and technical understanding of PeopleSoft in the areas of Human Capital Management to include HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Labor, Absence Management, Self-Service.
Seek self-improvement. Develop system documentation and instructions.
Provide daily status reports to the Project Manager.
