Description for Position 1:

Summary:

The temporary staff for Revenue Analyst will report to the University Revenue Manager in the Revenue Management department within the Office of the University Controller. The primary job function of the Revenue Analyst is to analyze Bursar and Continuing Education accounts, record monthly and year-end closing entries, and record, analyze/reconcile cash transactions initiated from the Central Office Tuition and Fee cash accounts. 

Job Description:

• Prepare daily journal entries for Tuition and Fee cash account transactions in Client.

• Review and analysis college bank reconciliations on a quarterly basis for completeness and accuracy. Work with college to provide feedback and guidance on any discrepancies. 

• Analyze college’s Bursar Department and Continuing Education Department trial balances for irregularities in the general ledger accounts. Work with the colleges to remediate any accounting discrepancies.

• Analyze revenue information to ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue records; reconcile to information from operations and follow up on discrepancies; identify reasons for revenue month-to-month variances and out of period adjustments; communicate with colleges and facilitate issue resolution.

• Compile and prepare materials for audit and external compliance activities, assist in preparing audit schedules and providing support for auditor requests.

• Manage the collection of revenue and accounts receivable as they relate to Tuition and Fee accounts.

• Track and maintain financial data to provide fiscal reports to management.

• Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as necessary.

• Perform related duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of Peoplesoft ERP.

Description for Position 2:

Summary:
This role will report to the University Executive Controller within the Office of the Budget and Finance. The primary job function of the Federal Stimulus Support Analyst is to support compliance and reporting functions of the University related to its receipt of Education Stabilization Funds from the federal government.
Job Description:
• Review quarterly claim submissions from university campuses against their allocated stimulus balance. Interact with key college personnel to obtain necessary support, edits and clarification around these submissions.
• Summarize submissions and prepare drawdown requests for review and approval by the University Executive Controller.
• Prepare quarterly reporting for review and approval by the University Executive Controller in compliance with the US Department of Education requirements.
• Analyze college’s Bursar Department and Continuing Education Department trial balances for irregularities in the general ledger accounts. Work with the colleges to remediate any accounting discrepancies.
• Analyze cash receipts to ensure completeness and accuracy of records; reconcile to information to other internal reports prepared by Office of Budget and Finance.
• Compile and prepare materials for audit and external compliance activities, assist in preparing audit schedules and providing support for auditor requests.
• Track and maintain financial data to provide fiscal reports to management.
• Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as necessary.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
