Estimated Length: 24 months Part-Time 35 hrs. per week 9:00am – 5:00pm, one unpaid lunch hour *LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY (IN-PERSON INTERVIEW) Mandatory Requirements Senior (60-84 months) Desired Requirements 60+ Months supporting day to day network operations that include all of the following: routing, switching, firewalls, wireless and network technology 36 + Months of network configuration for network equipment (routing, switching, firewall, and Wireless Access Management) 24 + Months providing detailed network configuration and network status reports 24 + Months preparing network diagrams, floor plans, and schematics using Visio 36 + Months of Level I, II, and III network troubleshooting support for WAN and LAN 84 Months with configuration experience with all of the following: Cisco Switches 6xxx, 5xxx, 4xxx, 29xx, 19xx, Cisco Routers 2951,4XXX, Cisco firewalls 5555,5516, Cisco and Aruba wireless controllers ,access points and WAN 48 + Months working with large LAN/WAN infrastructure and all LAN and WAN networking technologies Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Bachelor’s Degree in computer science/ telecommunications from an accredited college Responsibilities** The Engineer will perform the following duties and responsibilities: Works on quality assurance and engineering support tasks, including the review of proposed work plan submissions, in order to ensure that the work aligns to pre-determined work scopes and is consistent with DIIT network standards Uses database to submit and compare Wireless Network Design Plans (WNDPs) with integrators to confirm completion of work Utilizes diagnostic methodologies to determine the cause of network malfunctions and provides remote access support to resolve network-related problems that result from deployment activities Reviews and approves the work plan submissions of the integrator for the installation of hardware/software Provides real-time support to integrators when installing equipment in schools and performs troubleshooting services on wireless and network environment and equipment in schools Ensures consistent quality of production by utilizing automated tools, validating processes, and providing documentation
