Estimated Length: 12 months Full Time 8:00am – 5:00pm (40 hours/week)

Preferred Skills

  • Expert experience using the e-Builder construction management software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of the client's staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Prioritize multiple tasks, develop, analyze and/or revise procedures, meet deadlines, and work in an environment of heavy pressures and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and the ability to compose correspondence and reports.            
  • Demonstrated experience with computerized systems, database management and spreadsheet and word-processing programs to manipulate data and create reports.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and initiative to accomplish tasks.     
  • Excellent knowledge of construction industry including methodology, terminology, workflow/paper flow of design and construction activities as well as demonstrated knowledge of contract documents, specifications, and Division 1 requirements.
  • Skill in using computer software such as MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and develop creative solutions
  • Resourceful and self-directing, ability flourish in a fast paced and demanding work environment

Responsibilities

Technical Responsibilities – 30%

  • Project Setup
  • Template Maintenance and Modifications (documents, budgets, schedules, mail merges)
  • Work Flow Configuration Changes
  • Onboarding and training of new users
  • User Technical Support
  • Manage report and folder subscriptions
  • Assist client IT with maintaining Oracle / e-Builder interface.
  • Review monthly and quarterly product release notes – educate all user base regarding new functionality and product enhancements.

Change Management Responsibilities – 15%

  • Write structured workflow configuration change requirements for SPU management review and approval.
  • Development and maintain the client's specific support documentation.
  •  Coordinate configuration changes between all of the client's regions for acceptance prior to implementation.
  • Coordinate and execute user acceptance testing of major changes (e.g. new structured workflow)
  • Review system for continuous improvements.

Document Management Responsibilities – 15%

  • Independently interpret industry specific documentation and determine how it should be filed.
  • Work with SPU Project managers to develop and enforce document filing and retention policies.
  • Develop and maintain a standard project template library

Day-to-Day Management Responsibilities – 40%

  • Support CPD Capital Planning Department with project initiation process in e-Builder. Develop high-level schedule and budget during the project initiation step.
  • Assist CPD Project Management Department with the development and maintenance of detail schedules, budgets and cost forecasting in e-Builder cost and schedule modules.
  • Support CPD Project Management Department with maintenance of funding in e-Builder.
  • Develop and implement training programs for CPD in house staff and third party vendors.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of current CPD project delivery procedure modified to incorporate related e builder processes.
  • Provide guidance, support and training to internal and external e-Builder users.
  • Liaise with the end users to implement any required account level modifications which could include modifications of data fields, reports, dashboards and templates.
