Estimated Length: 5 months 35 Hours per Week *LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY (IN-PERSON INTERVIEW) Required Skills 3- 5 Years of experience in an Architectural/Engineering Firm. Strong knowledge of architectural design, engineering coordination, design trends, products, construction methodology, building systems, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness. Strong knowledge of construction procedures and schedules. Strong knowledge of building envelope components, interior plans and material requirements of all building and facility types. Strong knowledge of building codes and ability to research and apply/incorporate into technical documents. Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to produce a well-coordinated, detail-oriented, fully integrated Contract Specification and Form of Proposals (RFP RFI Bid Contracts). Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and produce results within deadline. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Required Experience 5 years prior experience in specifications development in the construction and/or maintenance and repair industries. Knowledge of architectural Experience in writing specifications. Skilled computer operator, specifically Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat. Internet navigation skills for researching products, manufacturers, codes & standards, and rules & regulations as related to writing specifications. Experience using RS Means Data and estimating various types of work related to building repair and maintenance. Preferred Qualifications Registered Architect or Engineer with current license preferred. Construction Specifications Institute Certification preferred and structural products. Familiar with AIA documents.** Familiar with Oracle Database System
