• Minimum 84+ months experience developing highly available and scalable multitier applications using Object Oriented or Service Oriented Architecture, which includes experience in data structures, algorithms, software design and JEE Design Patterns.
• Minimum 24 months experience in Shell Scripting, UNIX/Linux commands and scripting. 3 4
• Minimum 36 months developing, implementing and integrating systems related to criminal justice processing.
• Minimum of 24 months experience developing with Google Earth or Google Maps
• Minimum 60 months performing hands on development of applications developed using JMS, EJB, MQ 6.0 or higher, JSF, JAXB, JAXWS and/or Hibernate.

Responsibilities

• This position will design and implement software solutions and assure current and new technologies are effectively integrated to fulfill the business needs.  This individual will be expected to provide expertise and hands-on participation in the following activities: Act as the primary technical liaison with technical infrastructure teams to resolve problems and implement solutions to technical issues impacting application performance. 
• Work with the Infrastructure team to execute activities such as performance test planning and execution failure failover planning and execution, endurance testing and deployment planning and testing.
• Object Oriented programming: Core Java development, JSF Portlet development, Hibernate/JPA, JMS, JAXB, JAXWS, EJBs 
• Web Services knowledge and experience: Ability to define a WSDL, XML, XSD, HTTP 
• Perform oversight of development activities which may include data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, preparing logical database models, testing and implementation. 
• A basic understanding of spatial data and algorithms:How they work, how certain operations are carried out and when they are applicable.
• Data conversion: The ability to convert data from multiple sources to either a common format or common schema. The ability to work with external data and perform data corrections as needed.
• Data maintenance: Be able to perform data maintenance, correctly archive and ensure quality control. 
• A basic understanding of GIS architecture
