Atlassian Administrator
We are looking for an Atlassian Certified Expert for the Atlassian Administrator position. This individual will be responsible for hands on administration and configuration of Jira Software, Jira Align, and Confluence in the data center and server instances.
The Atlassian Administrator will be working alongside the members of enterprise agile product development teams, giving valuable insight into the optimization of the Atlassian Suite of products.
NOTE: This is not a Jira project administrator role and requires specialized skills beyond granting user permissions.
The Client is going through a time of transformation thus this role will be uniquely responsible for ensuring that the Atlassian suite is configured to accept enterprise level scalability.

Job Description:
The Atlassian Administrator is responsible for configuration of Atlassian tools while adhering to the governance model for structuring workflows across all Atlassian platforms. This individual must be well versed in both backend / frontend configurations, and is proficient at working in the Jira administration tab. A thorough understanding of how system configurations affect security and scalability will be pivotal to success in this role. This is a big picture role focusing on interpreting business requirements and translating them into platform configurations that scale.
Purpose and Overview:
The Atlassian Administrator enables Scrum or Kanban delivery teams to support strategic business objectives by maintaining the uptime, functionality, and usability of the Client's Atlassian product suite. A structured and organized approach, as well as a strong sense of ownership will be the keys to success.
Core Competencies:
• You are comfortable with life in the Jira and Confluence Administration Tab.
• Ability to manage and handle administrative ad hoc requests across Jira, Jira Align, and Confluence.
• Manage Permissions for both Global and Project levels.
• Execute Bulk Changes.
• Perform tasks that rely on Java, JQL, and SQL.
• Ability to develop post function scripts and scripted fields to call REST API’s and other applications.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to train project administrators.
Skills/Capabilities:
• Manage the interoperability of federated instances.
• Configure webhooks to establish bi-directional communication (e.g., Jira ?ServiceNow?Jira)
• Experience in migrating and performing system upgrades of Jira server versions.
• Manage the connection and synchronization to Integrate JIRA and Confluence with AD/LDAP.
• Configure settings (System/ Advanced settings; (e.g.)
o User Schema Settings
o Issue Type Schemes
o Workflow schemes
o Field Configuration schemes
o Group Schema Settings
o Membership Schema Settings
o Permission Settings
• Enabling and managing nested groups.
• Analyze business requirements to develop implementation plans to install plugins and manage apps and security across the Atlassian suite.
• Configure and monitor the status and health of nodes to determine the status of node uptime, load, and memory.
• Log review and Troubleshoot performance issues related to bugs, migrations, plugins, and memory allocation.
• Ensure mitigation plans are in place to restore and backup the system.
• Gather and provide analytics and recommendations related to scalability and node clustering.
Additional Skills and Information
Education/Experience/Certifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years working as a Jira Developer or Atlassian Administrator.
• Experience working in an agile environment (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)
