*PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION WILL ALLOW CONSULTANT TO WORK REMOTELY. HOWEVER, THE CONSULTANT WILL NEED TO BE ONSITE 1x EVERY WEEK, AT A MINIMUM. THEREFORE, CONSULTANT NEEDS TO BE LOCAL TO NYC AND ABLE TO TRAVEL TO OUR OFFICE WITHOUT ISSUE, AS NEEDED (AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE).

BACKGROUND:
The IT Enterprise Applications division of the Client IT Department is seeking 1 (one) experienced project manager to help plan and track the day-to-day activities of a few major projects with tight deadlines. The projects include the migration of DOB/Spear database to another server, the data integration of Subways Train Trouble data with four different systems by 2022 Q4, Several OMNY Interfaces with the vendor by 2023 Q2, the database migration/upgrade of RSMIS/Spear database by 2023 Q2 and the TOPs interface for DOB/Spear with the Veeder Root vendor for improved tracking of Fuel Quantity on Hand vs Fuel dispensed to buses by 2023 Q3, plus some other backlog projects.

This position will manage and execute all aspects of technology projects in any one of the following specialties: systems/business analysis, development, and implementation of applications in a networked PC environment, PC/LAN support or technical writing. Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline, eight years' experience in the appropriate specialties and a minimum of two years' experience as a project manager (PMP is desirable). Experience should include a sound understanding of technical issues and outstanding planning (experience in preparation of project plans a must), scheduling, implementation, and evaluation skills. Excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing with the user community and the technical staff is essential.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Skills with software project management, working with a diverse network of partner groups, sponsors and users.
• Experience analyzing project needs and creating project plans
• Experience working with individuals and teams to track projects, identify and track tasks needed to meet milestone goals and address risks
• Strong people skills to work with folks to find ways to achieve cooperation from partner teams


QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Application development using Oracle
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel)
• Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint version 2010 and higher
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment
