Estimated Length: About 12 months 35 hours per week This position is fully remote. Requirements Client has a vacancy for a Z/OS IMS Systems Programmer position. The z/OS IMS Systems Programmer’s primary responsibilities will include: • Ongoing maintenance (install, patching, upgrades, administration, etc.,) of the mainframe z/OS operating system, IMS Subsystem and related software products. • The candidate will be required to provide Production off-hour coverage (if necessary) and support periodic weekend implementations. Experience / Preferred Qualifications: • The candidate must have extensive experience with z/OS and IMS • Working knowledge of DB2 and CICS is a big plus • 10+ years of experience working SMP/E, TSO, JCL, basic IBM utilities (IDCAMS, etc.) program product installations and Unix System Services. • Experience in using monitoring tools such as MAINVIEW/DB2, MAINVEIW/IMS and/or OMEGAMON • Working with an enterprise-wide, large-scale implementation • Excellent Communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in a Technical/Business Discipline or 10 years of experience in the field.
