Detailed Preferred Requirements
Bureau of Litigation – 1 position
- Experience working in the Client, Division of Legal Affairs
- Familiarity with Client’s various legal tracking systems, including Client’s assignment tracking system, FileNet, litigation tracking system, and regulation tracking system
- Experience with State’s regulatory process, including preparing and processing notices of rulemakings
- Experience fielding incoming calls, determining the legal subject that the caller is calling about, and routing caller to appropriate attorney or refer to appropriate Client program area
- Experience handling subpoenas, levies, liens, demands and other legal documents for attorneys
- Experience coordinating travel arrangements for attorneys
- Note: Parking is available for a fee; public transportation is highly recommended
Bureau of House Counsel – 1 position
- Experience working in the Client, Division of Legal Affairs
- Familiarity with Client’s various legal tracking systems, including Client’s assignment tracking system and
- Experience fielding incoming calls, determining the legal subject that the caller is calling about, and routing caller to appropriate attorney or refer to appropriate Client program area
- Understand and have experience in updating legal reference materials, including attorneys’ regulation binders.
- Experience collecting documents from attorneys related to the Freedom of Information Law (“FOIL”) and transmitting them appropriately to Client’s Records Access Office.

Bureau of Professional Medical Conduct – 1 position
- Experience working in the Client, Division of Legal Affairs
- Experience with the coordination of logistics for the Client Direct Referral hearing process
- Ability to work independently on multiple case hearing details
- Proficient with operation of postage meter and process for sending documents by certified mail
- Experience fielding incoming calls, determining the legal subject that the caller is calling about, and routing caller to appropriate attorney or refer to appropriate Client program area
- Proficient in coordinating service of legal documents
- Experience with processing of invoices for process service companies

Bureau of Administrative Hearings – 1 position
- Experience working in the Client, Division of Legal Affairs
- Experience with Client-specific terms and legal terminology
- Proficiency with the creation and maintenance of legal case files
- Familiarity with Client’s various legal tracking systems, including DLA’s legal hearing case assignment tracking system
- Experience fielding incoming calls, determining the legal subject that the caller is calling about, and routing caller to appropriate attorney or refer to appropriate Client program area
- Ability to work independently on multiple case hearing details
- Proficient with operation of postage meter and process for certified mail
- Experience coordinating travel arrangements and conference calls for attorneys
- Knowledgeable and experienced with using multiple software systems
- Experience with drafting legal documents, creating forms, databases and spreadsheets

Bureau of House Counsel, Criminal History Record Check Unit – 10 positions
- Experience working in the Client, Division of Legal Affairs
- Experience with assisting attorney staff in conducting criminal background checks
- Competence with contacting police departments, probation officers, and District Attorney offices for investigative purposes
- Proficiency with conducting legal research regarding the criminal statutes of various jurisdictions
- Proficiency with preparation of requests for documentation from various criminal courts, police departments, probation offices and District Attorney offices
- Experience assisting attorneys in preparation of comparative law analysis with respect to federal and out of state criminal matters
- Experience preparing training manuals and work templates
- Experience providing technical support to other team members
- Experience with providing legal unit call center support
